A memorable scene from Animal Farm

高一下的英文作業,畫出《動物農莊》書中印象最深刻的場景並加以說明。
In this picture, Boxer is being taken away to a horse slaughterer and knacker. Benjamin, Clover, and many other animals are running after the van and crying to tell him to get out. Boxer tries to kick his way out of the van, but he is too weak. I think this is the most appalling and ironic scene in the book. Boxer is very loyal to Napoleon and keeps saying "I will work hard" and "Napoleon is always right." Boxer wakes up early every day to work, sometimes works at night, and never complains about the shortage of food. He works the hardest to build the windmill, even after it is destroyed twice. He also helps to fight off the human invaders, who injure him with guns. In spite of Boxer's loyalty and hard work, Napoleon sells him to a horse slaughterer as soon as he loses his strength and becomes unable to work. Squealer, who speaks for Napoleon, later lies to the other animals that Boxer was taken to a hospital to receive treatment. This picture shows how cruel and dishonest Napoleon is and how he treats the animals like slaves. Old Major warned that "in fighting against Man, we must not come to resemble him," but that is almost exactly what Napoleon is doing. The only difference is that Napoleon makes the animals think that they are working for themselves and that they are all equal. This picture is a powerful manifestation of the ironic statement "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
