Three Limericks for the World Cup

Here are three limericks for the World Cup just for fun, each representing one country.
1.
There once was a European sports team.
At the World Cup they were supreme.
But four years after,
What a disaster,
They fizzled just like bubbles of steam.
2.
There once was a team from an island.
For winning little chance did they stand.
But to everyone's surprise,
To the semi they did rise,
Three lions roaring over the icy land.
3.
A team from a small country by the sea
Garnered admiration on TV.
They fought till the final,
Then made errors so vital,
Yet still left a mark at Luzhniki.
